CENTRAL MISSOURI SEDALIA

CHAPTER #2603

HARLEY OWNER'S GROUP
If you didn't make it Saturday, the 26th to Randy and
Robin Martin's annual party, you really missed a great
event. All of the Martin's extended family are invited;
friends, neighbors, farmers and Harley riders included.
Their LaMonte farm has plenty of room for parking….an
acre or two, and there is plenty of room in the machine
shed…….when the tractors are evicted….to make room
for their guests!

Our gracious hosts provided the meat; barbeque pork,
ribs, smoked chicken, blackened chicken, mountain
oysters, hot wings and some awesome fish attended by a
battery of volunteer cooks, and their assistants, stationed
in the entry way of the machine shed.

The inside of the shop is heated with a bathroom and
provides plenty of space for tables and chairs to
accommodate the more than a hundred guests that
arrived all through the evening. One table collects
various dishes brought by guests and has an awesome
collection from some awesome cooks. Did I mention the
fish?

Tony & Tony who I like to call "TNT" entertained the
guests with a guitar duet of tunes from the past and
present. The beer is cold and the conversations are as
warm as the fellowship as friends greet one another.
Randy and Robin greet everyone they see and graciously
thank them for coming. Tony Sahlfelt gave the blessing
and thanks are always given to God, our brave military,
and a farmer or two for this bountiful harvest.

The food line meanders around the great table filled with
every salad and dessert you can imagine, and some I
couldn't imagine. Needless to say some diets suffered a
grueling death this day…….did I mention the fish? With a
dessert shared with friends I find myself wandering
outdoors only to be greeted by a black angus bobbie calf
with a sign around it's neck "eat chicken", a Doberman
that loves cookies, and a Yorkie wearing a John Deer
bandana. What could be warmer than this? Thank you
Martins, you're an inspiration to all who open their homes
and their hearts for all to come in.
